Bridging the Gaps – Annual Conference 2023

The Cheshire and Warrington Pledge Partnership & Careers Hub are hosting their Annual Conference 2023 ‘Bridging the Gaps’ on Thursday 29 June at Alderley Park, Macclesfield.

‘Bridging the Gaps’ is a way for employers, educators and other key local stakeholders can explore how they can work together to address local priorities. The day will focus on three main themes:

  • Skills – there is still a mismatch between the skills employers are looking for and those that young people are choosing to acquire. We will frame our discussions around the findings of the Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP) and understanding more insight from both schools and employers to enable us to collectively implement solutions

  • Inclusion – we are working with employers and educators to deliver a core offer that meets the needs of all young people and supports employers to build an inclusive talent pipeline but there is still more to do. At the heart of our discussions, we will hear the views of young people, educators, and employers, share good practice and explore opportunities to work together to drive progress. We will also look at how we can best connect to strategic developments such as the Fair Employment Charter for Cheshire and Warrington

  • Opportunity – the day itself offers invaluable opportunity to network with likeminded employers, schools, colleges and education providers across the region as well as key contacts from public and voluntary sector organisations. Together we will explore how we better ensure equal opportunity for all
