Apprenticeships
Who is an Apprenticeship for?
An Apprenticeship is for someone leaving school, including the sixth form, who wants to enter the world of work whilst still studying for a job-related qualification, gaining valuable work experience and being paid.
You could also consider an Apprenticeship if you want to change your career path and enter a job where you have little or no experience.
What are the benefits of an Apprenticeship?
More and more employers are turning to apprenticeships to expand and upskill their workforce. As an apprentice, the training you will receive will be in line with the business needs and ensure you will be able to do the job you have been recruited for.
20% of your time will be spent studying and developing your skills, usually at college, university or with a training provider.
You can start an Apprenticeship at any age, you may even start one later in your career because you want to change your career path.
There are Apprenticeships across most sectors and industries and depending on the role and the profession you choose there will be different levels of Apprenticeship with an equivalent education level.
Depending on the level of Apprenticeship some may require previous qualifications such as Maths and English GCSE. You will need to check this when applying.
Apprenticeship levels have equivalent education levels from GCSE at level 2 to Bachelors and Masters degree at level 6&7
