A thriving economy
Warrington is a town in Cheshire situated in the middle of Manchester and Liverpool with a thriving economy. Warrington Pledge has a long-standing relationship with Warrington Borough Council and serves the town and surrounding areas including Birchwood, Culcheth, Great Sankey, Lymm and Stockton Heath situated to the north of the county. With major employers such as Sellafield, Jacobs and Cavendish Nuclear located on Birchwood Park to the headquarters of United Utilities along with a wide spectrum of smaller enterprises and two NHS trusts Warrington is well placed to offer a wealth of opportunities to our young people.
In the Warrington Pledge area, all 12 of the mainstream high schools and their sixth form and the 4 special schools and three local colleges are engaged. We are also engaged with nearly 150 employers within the patch.
How we work
The Pledge Partnership team supports employers and educators to work together to help inspire young people to make well-informed choices about the subjects they choose to study and the careers they want to follow and are equipped to be successful in the labour market.

The Pledge Facilitator connects local employers to schools/colleges to inspire young people about career opportunities within their area. By working with both employers and education providers, they help ensure students are equipped with the skills required to be successful in the local labour market and help them to capitalise on opportunities within our employer’s core offer.
